Mark Stephen Jones, Artistic Director 

 

Mr. Jones, concert pianist, tenor,vocal teacher and coach has resided on the Treasure Coast for a little over 10 years. In that time he has been Chorus Master for the Treasure Coast Opera, Director of the MSJ Artist Series, Director of Music at  Immanuel Lutheran Church and currently serves as Organist at St John of the Cross Catholic Church. As a 2009 nominee for the MARty awards , Mr Jones was also elected to the Cambridge list of Who's Who.  Mr. Jones comes with a formidable background of performances. Recent performances were an all Liszt recital for Bold Tunes at St Bernadette's in February and then another recital at St Andrews Episcopal Church in Fort Pierce in May.  Mark not only performs as a concert pianist but has been on stage in over 30 different Operas and Musicals throughout the United States and Europe.

 

Sandra McNiff, Assistant Artistic Director

 

Sandra McNiff, soprano, recently portrayed Claudia, the wife of Pontius Pilate, in the music drama, "Saturday, 29 A.D.", by Mark Schweitzer. She serves as a cantor at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church in Vero Beach. She has shown her versatility by performing in opera, oratorio, and musical comedy, in such roles as Mother in "Amahl and the Night Visitors" (Menotti),  Goldie in "Two by Two" (Rodgers), Amelia in "The Masked Ball, (Verdi)and soprano solos in "Requiem" by G. Faure, "Messiah" by G. F. Handel, "Gloria" by A. Vivaldi, and "The Seven Last Words, " by T. Dubois. She has been a guest soloist in several churches on the Treasure Coast, and was invited to perform Schubert's "Ave Maria, " for a 911  Memorial Service in Martin County. With the MSJ Artist Series, she performed in the debut concert, with a program that included art songs by G. Faure, R. Strauss, and S. Barber. Included in her repertoire are arias such as 'Tu che di gel' from "Turandot," (Puccini), 'Un bel di,' and 'Tu, tu piccolo iddio' from Madama Butterfly (Puccini), 'Ritorna vincitor' from "Aida" (Verdi), and 'Knoxville, Summer of 1915,' by Samuel Barber. A former member of the St. Lucie Chorale, she is honored to sing in this inaugural concert with the Tri-County Master Chorale.
